Project 8 – A Family Affair
One of my goals when deciding to Flip Houses for a living, was to be able to help out my children.
So, when my son suggested we do a project together, I was overjoyed!
I found an off-market “renovator’s delight” that had significant issues with the timber stumps. So much so that the crack in the loungeroom wall, caused by the sinking stumps, would have scared off many buyers.
Luckily for us, once the timber stumps had been replaced, the huge loungeroom crack righted itself. All it then needed was some patching and painting to have it looking new again. Bonus!
We installed a new white kitchen, new laundry and new bathroom, painted throughout, and polished the jarrah floorboards.
The front garden was pruned significantly, to make the façade welcoming and pretty.
The rear patio was replaced, so the new owners could enjoy the tranquil space all year round.
This gorgeous, 70 year old cottage was transformed in 7 weeks, (during a Perth Christmas heatwave!) and became a beautiful home for a young mother and her son.
We couldn’t be happier with the result.
